Media by Meg is a one-woman show, owned and operated by Meghan Lalonde in Freehold, New Jersey.
I take pictures, I give lessons in Final Cut Pro, Photoshop, and WordPress, and I can help you learn how to make the most out of social media marketing. Whether it’s weddings, senior portraits, or designing a new brand logo or website, just ask me. I’m here to help.
Graphics. Photo. Social. Video. Web.
Here’s some more about me, in case you were wondering. I was born and raised in upstate New York and got my first job in high school as a photographer for a local newspaper that exclusively covered high school sports. There, I met my mentor who showed me more about my camera than any amount of time I’d spent in art class.
My dad also just happened to be a computer teacher, so after making me build my first PC at 17, he’s taught me just about everything I know about computers and web design. Thankfully, that knowledge hasn’t gone to waste.
After high school, I attended college at the State University of New York at Purchase College (an amazingly artsy school in Westchester County) and my love of photography was solidified. I studied journalism and photography with some incredible professionals who worked for the New York Times, Associated Press, and New York Daily News.
But since I really wasn’t sure what to do after graduating college, I decided to go to law school for media, sports, and entertainment law. Law school turned out to be the opposite of the creative environment I’d been submersed in at SUNY Purchase. But I pushed through, graduated with a job offer, and have been working my tail off ever since. I’ve also gained some incredible experience as a web and photo editor along the way.
